3G iPhone new specs?

It happens at HTC and now it is going to happen at Apple.

HTC has delivery delay for their HTC TOUCH DIAMOND and now Apple is experiencing the same delay for the anticipated 3G iPhone.

The iPhone’s production rollout is behind schedule.

Many people have been stating that Apple has shipped hundreds of thousands of 3G iPhones, which are supposedly sitting on warehouse shelves. But reliable sources say that Foxconn International Holdings, the contract manufacturer that assembles the devices, has shipped only several thousand.

These sources say that Apple has cut down its internal expectations for iPhone unit sales by up to 16%. They report that Apple had planned to ship 12 million 3G units by the end of the third quarter, but now expects to ship about 10 million to 10.5 million by the fourth quarter, owing to production delays.

HTC Corporation has announced its plans to donate NT$50 million (approx. US$1.63 million) in support of the relief and reconstruction efforts in China’s Sichuan province following the devastating earthquake this past week. The donation included NT$40 million in funds donated directly by HTC and HTC Social Welfare Foundation and NT$10 million in personal contributions from HTC employees.

“On behalf of HTC and our employees around the world, I would like to express our deepest sympathy to those affected by the earthquake in China’s Sichuan province,” said Peter Chou, president and CEO, HTC Corp.

With social responsibility as a cornerstone of its corporate citizenship and business values, HTC has donated funds through recognized relief organizations focused on rebuilding homes and schools and to assist the many children in need.

Cho and Chief Executive Officer Peter Chou today issued an e-mail appeal to HTC’s 7,000 employees worldwide to encourage them, their families and others to contribute during a special week-long donation drive. Resulting donation commitments will be bundled with HTC and HTC Foundation contributions and channeled to earthquake relief and reconstruction efforts.

n2-dontthink.JPG

When you become famous, there is always someone waiting to challenge your position.  Same goes with product popularity.  The Apple iPhone is now being challenged on all fronts.

A new pda phone is on the horizon and is coming to be a strong contender against the iPhone.

Introducing the NEONODE N2:

n2.JPG

Handy design
The special optical touch screen enables a unique design and size of Neonode N2.  It’s smaller than a credit card (W47 mm, H77 mm) and weighs 60 grams.

Fast and easy
Neonode N2 is designed for advanced simplicity. You do everything on-screen, simply and conveniently, with just one finger. The combination of an optical touch screen and specially designed user interface makes access to all features and content of your Neonode N2 both quick and easy.

True media capacity
Everything in your Neonode N2 is stored on a MiniSD card. The size of your MiniSD determines how much media you can bring with you. You simply connect the Neonode N2 to your PC and then drag and drop all the music and films that you want to enjoy. The headset cable is equipped with a 3,5 mm plug which enables you to use your favorite headphones.

Neonode :
“In designing and developing our technologies and products, Neonode focus on intuitive solutions that simplify, rather than complicate usage. Although that may sound easy, very few actually succeed.

n2-touch.JPG

Our patented technologies include zForce and neno. zForce is a new breed within touch screens. It is an optical touch screen that doesn’t require hard pressure or a stylus. It works quickly and accurately by reacting to sweeping and tapping signals on the screen. Neno is a user interface that maximizes usage of the optical touch screen. It is easy to learn, easy to use and above all, you can  access all content very quickly. Both of these designs can be used in multiple areas and can be implemented wherever there’s a need for fast, accurate, durable and intuitive solutions that increase the user experience for complex or monotonous products.”
